The G 1000 series locomotives are four-axle diesel-hydraulic locomotives for heavy-duty shunting operations and light-duty track service with a two-stage reversing gear unit. They are very well suited for transport movements to supply and remove materials from railway construction sites and for heavy-duty work train deployments.
