Virtual and future-oriented - SPITZKE represented at Railway Forum Digital Edition 2020 and Eurailpress Webinar

This year the Railway Forum will take place outside of its usual two-year cycle as a virtual conference. Registered users can expect an exciting agenda and promising speakers. SPITZKE is taking part in this important industry event with speeches, too. Furthermore as a railway infrastructure company we will also attend the Eurailpress webinar.

The Railway Forum Digital Edition conference opens its digital doors on September 22nd under the main theme: “Europe needs a strong rail – even in turbulent times”. Accordingly, the SPITZKE speeches also touch on topics from this area of conflict.

Dr. Alexander von Lieven, Director Equipment / Electrical Engineering Division of SPITZKE SE and Spokesman of the SPITZKE FAHRWEGSYSTEME GmbH, is going to talk about the “Electrification of the southern railway in Germany – barriers and solutions during Corona” from 10:15 am to 10:50 am. Christian Beckmann, Director Railway Infrastructure at SPITZKE SE will give a lecture on the subject of “Digital Rail Germany & BIM. Challenges & Opportunities for the Railway Construction Industry” from 2:05 pm to 2:15 pm.

The topic “Semi-autonomous machines and robot technology: Against the lack of resources in railway construction” is forward-looking as well. SPITZKE CTO Mark Fisher as one oft he top-class specialists is going to present this topic at the Eurailpress Webinar on September 23rd from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

In addition to Mark Fisher, Jens Bergmann, Board Member for Network Planning and Major Projects at DB Netz AG, Dr. Florian Auer, Head of Technology & Innovation at Plasser & Theuer, and Gerhard Sendlhofer, Head of Rail Processing at Robel will complete the round-table discussion.
