On February 19, we welcomed a visitor from Brandenburg’s Ministry of Science, Research, and Culture. In addition to our large-scale machinery, State Secretary Tobias Dünow was particularly interested in our training programs.
The visit began with a tour of the SPITZKE ACADEMY FOR APRRENTICESHIPS AND CONTINUING EDUCATION AG and of our training center, where Torsten Völker, Chief Revenue Officer, and Christian Krippahl, Director of Human Resources, personally greeted the guests from the Ministry of Science, Research, and Culture upon their arrival.
State Secretary Tobias Dünow showed particular interest in the topic of training. Our colleagues from the academy provided a detailed overview of our training activities and explained the challenges involved in delivering high-quality education in the rail infrastructure sector while answering numerous questions from the State Secretary. The program also included demonstrations of training content using simulators. Specifically, visitors were shown the application of a welding simulator as well as a simulated locomotive operation in the locomotive simulator.
The visit continued with a tour of our maintenance facilities in Großbeeren, as well as an overview of the large-scale machinery currently undergoing service. Our colleagues on-site provided detailed explanations. “A truly impressive company. And a spectacular success story made in Brandenburg. Without companies like SPITZKE, there will never be better or more punctual railway systems,” said State Secretary Tobias Dünow during his visit at SPITZKE.
