Track-renewal train UM P95

Track-laying – Rail and sleeper replacement

Technology Park
Technology Park

The UM P95 track-renewal train enables a continuous renewal of tracks with different forms of sleepers. The fully automatic uptake of old sleepers, the precise track position replication and new sleeper laying performed by a complex unit create optimal performance parameters, ensuring superior performance.

Functional Characteristics

  • Rail and sleeper replacement with high renewal rates
  • Very short linking and separation times (<= 30 and 45 min respectively)
  • Work in minimum radii
  • Renewal of timber, concrete and steel sleepers
  • Gentle handling of the new materials (rails, sleepers)
  • No need for the tamping operation; after renewal the track can be travelled on at 70 km/h (trials currently underway)
  • Copy of the old track position or new creation of design geometry in a single operation
  • Biologically degradable hydraulic oil
  • Low-emission diesel engines
  • Use of track materials wagon
    • Type (Slmmps wagon)                     Running rail height 1,200 mm
    • Type (462-464 Slps wagon)             Running rail height 900 mm
    • Type (466 Slps wagon)                   Running rail height 1,470 mm
  • Swivel of 100 mm and lowering of 100 mm
