When coupled with its trailer, the GAF 100 track maintenance vehicle can transport rails and switch frogs of up to 18 meters in length. When coupled with its trailer, the HL 27, it is also considered a “type-compatible unit” and therefore not a train, but a vehicle. The GAF 100 can be used to carry out maintenance and repairs at short notice.
