Apprenticeship as a metal cutting mechanic

As a metal cutting mechanic (m/​f/​nb) you will produce precision components using turning, drilling, milling or grinding processes. You will operate state-of-the-art machinery and equipment, independently decide which tools you need and make sure they are adjusted and aligned. At our subsidiary MuR-STAHLBAU GmbH, you’ll be an essential member of staff in the construction of steel pylons.

What you will learn during your apprenticeship
  • Procedure: during your 3.5-year apprenticeship as a metal cutting mechanic (m/​f/​nb), you’ll learn a wide variety of machining processes using tool assemblies for turning systems, automatic turning machine systems, milling systems and grinding systems.
  • Machinery: to ensure you can produce complex parts very precisely, you’ll learn how to use CNC machine tools.
  • Teamwork: our experienced SPITZKE training team will be by your side to support you with your various tasks.
