Apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic (m/f/nb) specialising in maintenance
From A for axle to Z for Z-axis – during your 3.5-year apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic (m/f/nb), you’ll work on our track laying machinery and equipment, tackle tricky tasks and develop and monitor technical systems. You’ll gain comprehensive expertise and learn all the skills needed to maintain and service our technical equipment. To prepare you perfectly for your future job with us, you’ll mainly work in our workshop during your apprenticeship.
As a trained industrial mechanic (m/f/nb), you are responsible for the specialist assembly, disassembly, maintenance, servicing and commissioning of machinery and devices at SPITZKE. You’ll be responsible for manual and mechanical material processing as well as repairing and replacing assemblies. You’ll mainly work in our workshop, and you’ll have a wide range of duties.

What you'll learn during your apprenticeship
- Machinery: during your 3.5-year apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic (m/f/nb), we’ll teach you to maintain, repair and service our machinery, equipment and technical systems. Our modern technical equipment has a lot to offer and includes rail-road excavators, small-scale work locomotives and various small devices for track building.
- Getting started: you’ll learn metalwork using tools and machinery, how to cut metal, and the basics of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical engineering. You’ll produce individual devices and machine components, install them in complex assemblies and check that everything works as it should.
- Teamwork: our experienced SPITZKE training team will be by your side to support you with your various tasks.
You should become an industrial mechanic if you…
