Apprenticeship as a Construction Equipment Operator

Are you fascinated by complex technology and large machines? In addition to the most modern road-rail excavators, locomotives and cranes, our modern technology park also includes numerous track-laying machines. Tamping, grading, changing rails, cleaning ballast – our machines can do this and much more. Our excavators are on the road as well as on the tracks. Do you want to know what’s behind them? Then start your training as a construction equipment operator (m/f/d).

As a trained construction equipment operator (m/f/d), you have a lot to do: from planning based on sketches, setting up, securing, loading and operating to retooling track construction machines – everything is part of your job, throughout Germany and Europe. Even if the procedure quickly becomes routine, you will encounter new situations and challenges every day. At SPITZKE, for example, you will control and operate our road-rail excavators on the track construction sites and monitor the work processes. On site, you will be responsible for the professional care, maintenance and repair of the machine or road-rail excavator, i.e. you will rectify faults and carry out minor repair work, for example.
