Apprenticeship as a civil engineering worker specialising in foundation engineering

As a skilled civil engineering worker (m/​f/​d) specializing in special civil engineering, you will create the conditions for large construction projects: You build foundations, anchorages and secure excavation pits. For example, you will take soil samples, analyze the soil conditions and load-bearing capacity for the construction project and excavate construction pits. You can put your specialist know-how to the test on construction projects throughout Germany.

What you will learn during your training
  • Civil engineering: In the first two years, we will train you as a civil engineering technician (m/​f/​d). You will learn how to create excavations, trenches and formwork, carry out earthworks and produce paving, slabs and asphalt surfaces. In your first year of training, you will acquire the skills to read plans and sketches and create them yourself.
  • Specialization in special civil engineering: In the second year of training, you will specialize as a specialist foundation engineer (m/​f/​d). As such, you will learn how to secure assemblies, carry out foundation work as well as concrete and steel work. You will operate drilling equipment and carry out piling and excavation work on various projects yourself.
  • Teamwork: Our experienced SPITZKE training team will always be on hand to help you with your varied tasks.
