Project start for the east-coast line

SPITZKE’s Leer branch foundation team has been working on the overhead line project for the east-coast line since April 17, 2023. In the initial construction phase for the east coast line, the Leer branch is responsible for installing the foundations for 31 overhead line pylons on behalf of the client, TenneT. This accounts for approximately one-third of the planned foundations for this specific section.

The east-coast line is part of the 380 kV extra-high voltage lines, designed to transport electricity generated by wind turbines to consumers in the southern and western regions as part of the energy transition. Currently, the eastern coast of Schleswig-Holstein already achieves an impressive electricity generation capacity of over 800 megawatts. The east coast line area extends from Stockelsdorf, near Lübeck, to Henstedt-Ulzburg, located north of Hamburg. The project itself is divided into three distinct planning sections. In the first section, stretching from the Segeberg district to the Lübeck area, an existing 220 kV line will be replaced with a new 380 kV line. The commissioning of this first section is scheduled for 2025.

On April 25, NDR had the privilege of attending the official groundbreaking ceremony at the site. The report can be found in the NDR media center or accessed through the following link.
